Submissives in Leadership -
S
ubmissives continue to take on leadership positions in the leather community. The challenges faced by submissives in leadership positions are unique as there is a need to juggle the intrinsic balance of the power exchange that occurs within Dominant and submissive relationships and the need to claim the power inherent in the position of leadership. The participants in this workshop will have the opportunity to discuss these unique issues, the challenges, the consequences as well as the rewards of submissive leaders. Attendees will also gain tools to help them overcome some of the stereotyping and prejudice they encounter as submissive leaders.

Presenting with Grace - Receiving Service with Style: How to move in the world
It is because of our social upbringing that Dominants often find themselves wondering how to receive service, how to slow down and create an environment in which another is present for their pleasure. Slaves and submissives often wonder, how do I walk half a step behind and still get to the door first? How do I approach my Master when she/he is engrossed in a conversation? One of the greatest gifts slaves can give Masters is the ability to move in the world with grace; to have movements be fluid as they live as an extension of those they serve. It is also an amaze gift when the Master allows the slave the opportunity to serve. In this workshop we will talk about and practice movement as a form of service. Dominants will be provided with the opportunity to practice receiving service while submissives will be able to practice different forms of movement; from walking, to crawling, presenting beverages and even interrupting.

Receiving Service: A service workshop with focus on the Dominant -
We live in a "do-it-yourself" society. We value strength and independence. It is the American Way, after all. This social message creates special challenges for Dominants. After acknowledging a desire to be served, finding their own attraction to service based relationships, they find themselves wondering what can be requested and even expected in creating positive, healthy, powerful service based relationships. We will examine how Dominants receive service, obstacles that hinder growth in this process, how to slow down and create an environment in which another is present for their pleasure. One of the greatest gifts slaves can give Masters is the ability to move in the world with grace. It is also an amazing gift when the Master allows the slave the opportunity to serve.

Presenting with Grace: -
How to move in the world How do I walk half a step behind and still get to the door first? How do I approach my dominant when she/he is engrossed in a conversation? These are typical questions asked by submissives. Dominants often find themselves wondering how to gracefully receive service, how to slow down and allow another to be present for their pleasure. One of the greatest gifts submissives can give dominants is the ability to move in the world with grace; to have movements be fluid as they live as an extension of those they serve. In this workshop we will talk about and practice fluid movement as a form of service. Dominants will be provided with the opportunity to practice receiving service while submissives will be able to practice different forms of movement; from walking, to crawling, kneeling and curtseying and bowing.
It's a Girl Thing* -
The leather community has seen an incredible increase in activism, volunteerism, and leadership from groups that have often been silent and behind the scenes. In the past two years we have seen a burgeoning involvement with Leather Girls, including regional and national titles, the Leather Girl Network, even a Leather Girl Pride Flag. This workshop will address the history of the Leather Girl Movement, how and why it came into fruition, some of the struggles and the backlash encountered, responses to criticism, as well as looking into the future. The participants will have the opportunity to address these issues, raise other questions, and gain tools to take into their local communities to increase power, strength, visibility and unity of Leather Girls.
